Impressions
Impressions in the sand seem to stay forever
Always in the memory of a walker
Always soft and gentle under his feet
If one were to dig far enough
If that sand were to smooth it's rough shell
Amazing discoveries of what came before
May be discovered and uncovered
Secrets of a past live
May reveal themselves once more
Soft impressions that tell a story
Of one who's walked before
Curious lines drawn inbetween the obvious, and
Implied meanings read from shouting sentences
Foreer impressions never wash away
They stay only hidden under a layer
Waiting paciently for those curious hands
Holding memories of times, of people
And hoping silently those hands will come
