He Left
Through dreams, through hopes, through fantasies
One night through all she slept
Unaware untill that morning
He had up and left
Three babies asking questions
After fourteen solid years
Never once had they suspected
One day they'd wake up to tears
He'd packed his bags that night before
Left them but a note
He then walked casually through the door
He had up and left
She was left that morning all alone
One parent to love her children
One parent left in that home
Never would she look back
Upon that day behind
She was left now with her duty
Her childrens happieness first in line
Forever will the scars of hurt pain and jab
But she knows she's got to move on
It takes time, but wounds heal and scab
Through dreams, through hopes, through fantasies
One night through all she slept
Unaware untill that morning
He had up and left
