Unforgiven

You beat me down until there is nothing left of me

Only a raw, stricken and lifeless mass remains

In my mind i'm still alive, hurt, betrayed

Yet, still amidst it all I beg for more

After the deed you stand there...staring at me

To yourself you've done nothing wrong

I'm down in the earth giving satan help

But my heart, for you, still beats strong

No afterlife, no brush of pain could ever tear me from you

The abusive taunting i'll never forget

You stay with me, for I am beat down here too

As I lay with stone upon my head

You walk by with but a smile

Nothing could make you love me, make you care

It is better off now that I'm dead

Only death could bring me away from you

Away from the suffering you caused

Though I'm not in heaven, where I should have been

Through death you've somehow set me free from your claws
