A co-written poem for a girl named Johlene

You give me the strength to work though any maze

Keeping me going

Knowing we'll be together in only a few days

Thank you for giving me that strength and this peace

Every time I hear your voice, and remember

She's the girl who cares about me

Every day I think of how lucky I am to know you

You're the best thing in my life right now

It makes me happy just to think of how I adore you

You'll never know how much it hurts

That you can not be here

And I would walk a thousand miles

Just so you'd be near

And as I stare at the picture of you

I keep to keep me sane

And think of what the future holds

That I've never felt this way

I know if I feel this about you now

It'll only get better

Because I need you more each day
